The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking an

Internal Auditor (m/f)
in the Internal Audit and Evaluation Service,
Director General’s Services

to be based at the ESA Headquarters in Paris, France or ESTEC, Noordwijk, Netherlands, with some travel required within Europe

The European Space Agency (ESA) is an intergovernmental organisation whose mission is to shape the development of Europe’s space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe. ESA employs about 2200 staff members over Europe and has a budget of 5.2 billion euros.

Within the Internal Audit and Evaluation Service, the postholder will conduct audits of the Agency’s activities and carry out management consultancy assignments. The main duties and responsibilities, conducted in accordance with international professional standards will be :

Applicants for this post should have a Master’s degree in internal audit, engineering, business administration, or other relevant discipline, with a minimum of three years’ experience of internal auditing in an international environment. Candidates should be Certified Internal Auditors or the equivalent. Certified competence in auditing Information Systems will be considered a strong asset.

Excellent analytical, organisational and coordination skills and the ability to provide quality summary output against tight deadlines are prerequisites for this post as well as good communication and interpersonal skills.

The working languages of the ESA are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required together with a working knowledge of the other.
